Meet Larry Jones-Esan, our Assistant Programme Manager & Lecturer responsible for the undergraduate Top-up programme in Business Management in the Faculty of Business, Law and Tourism.
Larry Jones-Esan was the Director of Studies and CEO of the London Academy Business School, London School of Leadership in London with branches in Dubai, Nigeria and Mauritius. He is an entrepreneur, a business consultant, Information Technology Professional and a Certified IT Trainer (MCT). He was part of a team who organised trade missions to promote UK education around the world including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Ghana, Cameroon, Hong Kong, Thailand and Nigeria. Larry also organised training programmes in Banking & Finance, Leadership, Project Management. Other topics include; Derivatives, Consolidated Supervision, Risk Base Supervision, Microfinance, Bank Note and Currency Management and Resident Banking Examination. Larry has organised capacity training for the staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Ministry of Health (MoH), Ministry of Finance (MoF), Commercial Banks and National Youth Service Corps. Further to this, Larry has lead poverty reduction programmes in developing countries and Graduate Job Ready programs in the UK, Ghana, Uganda and Nigeria.
Larry has penned articles including Private Partnership in Funding University Education, Emotional Literacy in Education and Adulthood, Support for Overseas Student in the UK (SOS), Global Imperative of University Governance, Breaking the Chain of Dependency Syndrome and has delivered convocation lectures in universities across the world. Larry has appeared in the media on TV/Radio including; BBC UK, CNBC New York, MBC Mauritius. LTV Ikeja, Channels TV, Ben TV and NTA Nigeria to mentioned a few.
Larry holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and is in the final stages of his (PhD) in International Business Management at International School of Management. Larry holds Postgraduate qualifications including PgDip in Educational Leadership and Management, Master of Education from RMIT, Australia. He is a Chartered member and a Fellow of professional bodies including Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), British Computer Society (BCS, Institute of Leadership Management (FinstLM). He is also Member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industries, the Canadian Institute of Entrepreneurship (MCIE), the American Management Association (MAMA) and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
